Our route for today. We saw Jerry’s cousin and wife yesterday. The ones we used to go camping with, they were included in a lot of the posts here. We are all the same age and had a lot of fun with them. They aren’t able to get around as well as Jerry and I so don’t camp anymore. We had pizza for dinner and talked over old times. Again had a lot of fun😂
We got up early, ate at McDonald’s, and got on the 680 freeway and started home. But first we’ll stop in Bulleton to have dinner at the Hitching Post.😋😋

our route

The windows uncovered. You can drive on some of the beaches.

I blew Jerry away on this hand of 500 rummy

looking out those windows on our last campground on the Sacramento River.
Your driving has been impeccable Jerry, good job. You deserve a nap 💤

The Home Stretch! Great job escorting The Coach back home. I bet The Hitching Post was yummy. I love it that you basically have a traveling parlor for game play and naps! Be safe and enjoy the final miles (hope the traffic’s not too bad!).
I’ve loved all the pics and your words on your way back home. Just spending time together you and Jerry make even the simplest things become magical. Driving on the beach or playing dominos together. No matter where you are you make it the most beautiful place to be. Wish I could be with you at the Hitching Post, my very favorite. God speed. Love, Celia
You do me a treat when you share your journeys, be they epic or not. A window into your world expands my lonely world. Thank you
The campground on the Sacramento River looks like an ideal backyard that you can have a nice lunch and take a nap. The coach is cozy and it seems to bring you lots of joy. Have a safe trip home and we hope to see you soon. Thuy
Can’t wait to see you guys!
So glad you had such a good time. I enjoyed hearing about your trip and seeing all of the pictures.
Love, Rosemary
Beautiful, scenic drive. Glad to see you’re enjoying the trip.
Just don’t let Jerry nap while driving! Love ya – Sharon
What a lovely time you had with Jerry’s cousin and his wife! As I age, I still love camping…in a hotel. Or anyplace with a bed and roof rather than a sleeping bag on the ground 😉
Gorgeous drive and fun games! Enjoy the last days of your trip, knowing we all are excited to be having you home 🩷❤️💓
