Our outing to Lawry’s was so much fun. It’s an hour drive to Beverly Hills and Frank drove so Jerry got to sit back and enjoy the scenery, what there was anyway. We didn’t take the freeway all the way so we saw some new territory. We passed the See’s factory, a very big place. My mouth watered.

Its a beautiful restaurant, very old school and classy.

Prime rib is their specialty, as you can see. So that’s what we all got. We had shared plates of the Diamond Jim Brady cut dinner. It was exceptional. Linda and I got the halves with the bone in. She saves all her bones and makes delicious bone broth which is very good for you. So I gave her mine. We also got the glazed brussel sprouts, very yummy. The sourdough bread with real butter is something you could make a great sandwich with.
The salad is called ‘spinning bowl salad’, the waitress spins the bowl as she pours the dressing on and then serves it table-side.

Then we ordered dessert 😋

Crème brûlée and a piece of a Dark fantasy chocolate cake that we all dug our spoons into YUMMY 😋 Oh and I ordered an espresso martini YUMMY

Jerry decided he wanted to spend his birthday lounging all day – so that’s what he did and is still doing. And I stayed in my pajamas all day putting the blog post together.

I love you Jerry. These 61 years seems like they flew by until we start talking about all our adventures and seeing our growing family. We’ve had so many wonderful memories and experiences, too numerous to mention. Who knows what’s next, but I’m looking forward to it.
stay tuned and I’ll share it with you

Happy Birthday, Jerry!
So glad you had such a wonderful celebration.
You guys really know how to live!
Love, Rosemary
Lowrey’s looks so gorgeous and luxurious, a night of delicious food and gracious service, and it all looks so delightfully decadent. Another great memory. So happy for you. Loved Jerry’s lounging birthday pic, so handsome and even more impressive than Hugh Hefner himself. So nice of you to share. Love, Celia
Happy Anniversary to one of our favorite couples and Happy Birthday Jerry. Jilly, you never fail to make the ordinary engaging and the extraordinary personal. You sprinkle delightful amuse bouches throughout your blogs and capture the budding adventure of every subject for your audience. Keep it up!
Happy Birthday, Jerry. At 80, relaxing in your pj’s sounds great for your birthday. That food looks so delicious at Lawry’s – scrummy, as the British would say. Top it all off, it was a gift not to have to drive in L.A. Hope you have a wonderful next year.
Love, Sharon
It sucks to age, but it’s very wonderful to grow old together. I hope you will keep celebrating your love and having good memories in many years to come. Happy Anniversary to you both and Happy Birthday, dad!
