Just for fun

While looking for the pictures of melody to post, I found some pictures I had planned to post and never did, so here they are, just for fun.

Midas by my 4th of July flowers

The heavy rain we had produced some really amazing wildflowers in the front yard. And they have lasted so long.

if anyone wants seeds for next year let me know. I’ll be pulling them up soon.

an interesting spiderweb in the back yard. Never saw a spider in it.

This one looked neat after the sprinklers went off. It looks like suspended raindrops.

my orange brandy rose put on one yellow bloom several times this year. That’s never happened before. It also produced a totally different petal of a different color⬇️

Almost like a peony

when we came out of the doctors office last week.

after having lunch one day, we encountered these two amazing restored broncos parked near our little 1989 Bronco ll. The one on the right is from 1963, not sure about the other one. We waited awhile to talk but the people never came out.

we’ve had so many butterflies this year. I captured three at one time in this photo

I liked this picture I took of Tony taking a picture while Amy was taking a picture. We had just see the movie ‘Strays’. It was horrible and disgusting.
This was a really fun puzzle to put together.
I didn’t include this picture on the Vegas posts, but I couldn’t resist to share this irresistible desert we had at the Vanderpump restaurant in this ‘just for fun post’. Notice the the edible gold leaf on top?
It’s beignets of New Orleans fame filled with crème brûlée. OMG

the sunset was beautiful last night.

Hope you enjoyed these random pictures. I love taking them and then sharing them.
thanks for tagging along

Oh how they grow

here’s our little cutie patutie, or I should say cupie doll.

I love her little turban and her smile is so infectious

I’ll bet she is a little firecracker
She’s been really trying to sit up but then it’s like “what do I do now”?
Oh, now I know how, “will somebody get me my purse”

Below it looks like she’s telling a long story using her hands just like a kid does

This is the first toy I gave her, and Hannah says she still loves it.

touch, feel, and then in the mouth. Lots of things to discover now

Hannah and Javie are going to have so many wonderful experiences raising this beautiful child. The worries do come but the joy gets you though.

here’s Tracy just showing some teeth. Dig that 60’s hairdo🫣

Here’s Hannah just seeing the teeth coming in.

I just got this picture today, and looky there, I think I see a tooth emerging.

there’s that infectious baby smile again and look at all that hair. Tracy and Hannah weren’t that lucky.

since we aren’t traveling in the coach anymore I’m not sure what you might see here. I still take lots of pictures and like sharing them. This is my only social media outlet.
So hope it’s something of interest now and again or maybe just once in awhile so you’ll want to return. I’d love it if you did.

Here is our beautiful Midas. This picture is from 2011. Look at those dazzling gold eyes, and that’s how he got his name. You can also see the white hair on his belly that you don’t see very often.

I know how much all of you love your pets and how much pleasure and joy they bring you, just like our Midas. We were thrilled when after 14 years of never wanting to be an inside cat, he decided to run in out of the rain and now it’s the heat. He still wants to go outside to roam his territory, roll in the sand, chomp on the catnip, and hunt for lizards. He will let us know with that unmistakable caterwaul when he wants back in. In the beginning he was following me around like a new puppy, constantly wanting to sit in my lap for attention and wasn’t happy until I sat down. But then he discovered our bed after starting to sleep with us. Now he hangs out there during the day a lot.

He still likes my lap though.

Do you see the heart ❤️.
I had to get a box to fit my lap so he wouldn’t fall off when he stretched

Then had to change the blanket to a scratch pad, those long claws kept snagging. I think he likes this better.

This was one of his favorite spots at first. ⬇️Of course, people who know cats, know they will love a spot for weeks or months and then just like that they won’t go near it. He abandoned this after a a few weeks. ⬇️ Do you think Lily would like it Ray? Martha?

These were given to us by a friend and he tried out both of them for awhile, but he never goes back now.

I never see him here anymore either
I had to put a stop to him coming around my puzzle table. He knows what “no” means now. So I made him his own little spot. One of my latest puzzles ⬇️

He loves freeze dried minnows and begs for them., or any snack really

This is not pretty but this is what outside cats do-they hunt. And they sometimes eat what they catch. Midas has always brought us mouse and lizard parts to the front porch. We’ve seen him catch them a lot. This day he ran in the house before we saw what he had in his mouth. He dropped it and killed it very quickly.

it gets uglier but I wont post those pictures, the poor lizard was pregnant😢

He keeps a watchful eye on his territory every day. ⬇️Sometimes with a low profile.

Rolling in the sand is one of his favorite things to do, and his catnip is right there for him to chew on and roll in that too, very convenient.

But one disadvantage of being an outside cat, those pesky mosquitoes are biting Midas’s nose. It started last year and the vet diagnosed it. Nothing we can do for him.

And that’s a glimpse into our beautiful Midas’s world.

stay tuned

I have pictures of our great granddaughter Melody
