This was a very special trip to Las Vegas, and more than likely our last. We were celebrating my, Jerry’s, and Tracy’s birthdays 🎉 We’ve seen and done everything and then some to our heart’s content in Vegas. We never won big but we lived big. We stayed in nice hotels. We saw celebrities performances, comedians, Cirque da Soleil shows, exhibits, museums, visited friends and relatives, and even fed dolphins. So we are going to call it quits. Cold turkey. It’s not quite the same as driving the coach to get there anyway.
The Belliago is right across the street from Planet Hollywood. It was still about a five minute walk. It was 108 but bearable. The conservatory was as beautiful as ever. We have seen every seasons display many times, and this summer it was beautiful. I never go to Vegas and not see the display of the themed flowers. You get lost in the beauty and imagination it takes to create these works of art. I will miss that activity, but they show up on the internet, so I can see them that way, I guess.

The pansies are one of my favorite flowers

This is interesting but I’m not sure who it is supposed to be, I didn’t read the sign.
We sat for awhile in the lobby bar and listened to the piano and people watched for awhile, then headed out to the fountains.

I can’t post a video here, but I have one if anyone wants to see it. And as luck would have it, the song playing was Cher’s ‘Do you Believe’ and I was standing right by the speaker. A fitting send off for me.🥰

FANTASTIC!!!
We had one more dinner out that night, it was a pretty cool place but the food sounded and looked better than it tasted. More on that in the final chapter. I’ve already put too many pictures in here, so one more post to go
p.s.- I hope you see these pictures look okay to you, they look elongated on my preview
stay tuned 🩷jilly
The pictures are gorgeous, capturing the beauty and vigor of Las Vegas, Tracy, Jerry, and you. Your love and joy is beautifully expressed. How extra wonderful that Cher was playing! Expensive as it is, there may be more Vegas in your future. In any case, your own wisdom is written on your wrinkle-free and lovely face as well as in your eloquent words
I agree with Anonymous- the pictures are perfect and a beautiful illustration of your love for Jerry and your family and the beguiling lure of Vegas’ role in your history. The floral displays must have been even more stunning in person. Your blogs are picture windows into your heart.
It is easy to see that Vegas has many good memories for you and Jerry and as life moves on more good times will come from other places unknown to us right now look forward to seeing you and having a good time with you and Jerry as we move into our senior years.
Much fun! The flowers were beautiful and so elaborate! It was HOT. We made it, stopping in the shade now and then. And what a treat to hear Cher singing to the fountain dance. A great day!
I’m very happy you all had such a memorable and enjoyable trip! The effort required to put together those flower exhibits is mind-boggling. I’m a bit skeptical this will be your last trip, though! 🙂
I love the beautiful display of artwork using flowers. Cher’s Do you Believe was the icing on the cake – seems like it was meant just for you! It was a very special time for all of you. – Love, Sharon
Beautiful, you, Tracy, the flowers. Enjoyed this so much. Celia
