You all know midas by now. he adopted us when he was 3 or 4 months old. a lot of my early pictures got deleted when i got the blue screen of death on our first computer. some very special ones too. tony tried hard to get them back, but couldn’t, even with help from his co-workers.
you know that screen-don’t you?

midas has wanted to be an outside cat for all these years. no amount of coaxing could change his mind. he’s stayed around while we did all that traveling. 4 months one time, with care from family, friends, and neighbors. frank and linda have become his babysitters of choice for years now. he loves them and goes to their back door to see them and their cat through the glass door. linda sends me lots of texts when we are on a trip.⬇️

since midas never wanted to be a house cat. we would bring him in after illness’s and the fourth of july. this year he wanted in when the fireworks started, three days in a row. even with all the fines attached to doing them, people still did them, loudly. as soon as it quieted down he -wanted out again.

UNTIL BOGIE MOVED AWAY
MIDAS WAS LOOKING FOR HIM FOR A LONG TIME

AND MIDAS STILL WAITS EVERY DAY
BUT WITHOUT BOGIE🙁
AND THE MUDGES STILL COME

Midas does this ⬇️ practically every day too-
this is how he get’s from one side, to the other side, of the porch. i finally sat and waited to get a video, and then took these frames from it. pretty cool huh?

this was a very special treat ted sent to midas. the good stuff.
ted loves him and he’s never even met him. i send him a lot of pictures so he knows him that way. he thinks he’s a remarkable cat. so do we🥰

We got him a drinking fountain that constantly moves to help keep the mosquitos away

i guess you can tell we love our midas. he’s been a very special cat from the beginning.
i was thinking of ted when i put this together, but i hope you all enjoy it too.
don’t know what’s next❓

Really one of my favorite posts 💕
Lots of tugging of heartstrings 💕
How empty our lives would be without our special friends!

I hate the dreaded blue screen of death. I’ve had my share of misery with them. Midas is one lucky cat. Thanks for sharing his story. Loved seeing the pictures. Sharon
Sorry about your blue screen, did you get the computer back up? I also liked the pick of Jerry looks like he is resting well and the cat can come if it wants….

Angel unaware- he is one of them sent from your beloved Lucky and many other cats and dogs over the years fortunate enough to have been loved by you and Jerry. The Rainbow Bridge is powerful.
I loved all the great pictures and that you included Bogey. Midas gliding over the gate so clever, his own Cirque du Soleil. It’s wonderful how he has brought you so much joy over the years and has fit into your lives so well, and he’s so lucky to have you for his forever family. So adorable on your opening screen pic. Love, Sis
You do love your Midas, as do we all in the neighborhood 💗
He was a feral kitten until you lured him into domesticity with your affection and nurturance. His little cat perch, his bed, the fountain, and the chairs you make inviting for him have created a true home. Now he is the feline host of the neighborhood, greeting passers-by and calmly watching even barking dogs. Yesterday morning he came by for greetings and treats. We love to see him on our car or waiting on the porch here while you visit. He has ventured inside only when you are out of town, and then just once each trip to check every place you could be hiding. It is great that he takes refuge in your house when fireworks get scary. What a character!

Love the action shot! Midas is king of the block! And he gave us a wacky cat for Jessica, too. 🐈⬛
