Frank and Jerry are pulling hot glass. a step in the process we would all be be doing later.

Frank and linda treated us to a glass paperweight making adventure in carlsbad.
but first we went out for a very nice lunch at an italian restaurant. it was a beautiful day.

this is the steps to make a paperweight
~we start with a ball of molten 1200 degree glass given to us from the furnace-

Im doing mine a little different-duh

They had to cool, so we didn’t get to bring them home. we had so much fun and after we were done, we walked across the street and had pizza and beer. a perfect day. except for traffic.
the paperweights should arrive in the mail today. we’re going to open a bottle of champagne and make a toast to our new creations and the whole experience of making them.
so stay tuned to see the big reveal.

Holy Toledo. I am so jealous I’m dripping green blood. You do the gosh-darn greatest things in the world.
I almost guessed it was glass blowing but talked myself out of it looks like a great time
The suspense is killing me!
What a wonderful adventure Frank and Linda shared with you. Looks like aot of fun. Love glass art. Celia
Jerry and Jilly, you have futures as glassmakers! What lovely creations: Jerry’s looks like the sea, and yours looks like bubbles in heaven. Even Jerry’s practice paperweight looks lovely. What I want to know is, who uses a paperweight since we all write electronically? Ah, art does t have to be useful.
Paula’s art is profound and meditative as well as beautiful. Now there’s a use for art that applies to paperweights, paintings, and pizzas 😃🥳😻💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗😻😻😻
Looks like fun, and a bit complex. So great that there’s a place near enough for such a groovy adventure.
We thought hou were forging steel!
