I enjoyed all comments from my last post. but how did you know i wear purple panties, ray🤭
we’ve been venturing out more lately. we haven’t gotten our 2nd booster yet, so we still our wear masks.
we saw a great play last month. the lead actor was Bryan Cranston, of ’breaking bad’ fame. he was also the dentist on ’seinfeld’. he did a fantastic job portraying a college professor who invited a nazi sympathizer to speak at the college. the students and faculty rebelled and the play was what took place after that. even though there were no boats in the play, power of sail is a boating term. when two boats meet on the water, the boat with the sail has the ’right of way’, aka-the power of the sail.
we went with frank and linda, who you probably know, are college English professors.

We are going out to dinner a little more and sitting on the porch porch again. we recently had a little get together for paula who just got back from italy. she showed us her fabulous photos and told us all about her adventures. she even made us an italian inspired appetizer that was delicious. we paired it with a bottle of italian wine.

Paula’s career was a high school art teacher. she’s given the grand-girls a few lessons over the years.

this is a sketch she did in italy of a tower, in a city known for them.I’ve forgotten the city. i love that little touch of red on the entrance. only an artist would know to do that. I’m going to have to get you and paula together martha. she would also like to start a blog, ray.😉
We all enjoyed the evening.
Mike and rosemary were there

Frank and linda too

and us. but you’ve seen enough of us
doctors are one place we venture out to often. on a recent trip to our dermatologist she let me take a picture of what she’s been wearing since Covid started.

Sharon, we loved going to your house to meet your new puppy, pepper.

And then having lunch out.

since we’ve had some nice weather, i haven’t been working on the cat puzzle much. it’s a hard one alright. but it is so satisfying to find a piece. if i had got this at a thrift store, i would swear it was missing pieces.

we’ve lost a piece of our neighborhood recently. jessie was a friend and if you remember, a frequent dinner partner. she was a faithful blog reader also. we miss you jessie.💗

What are frank and jerry doing?
stay tuned and find out in the next post😁

Once again, a great blog. Thanks for sharing Jesse’s obituary. I hadn’t seen it. Also, thanks for including me. I’m honored ‼️🧑🏻🎨🇮🇹
Jill, your blogs are so redolent with sentiment and respect for life and all its little corners of pleasure and loss and love for gentility and community. And once in a while they make me nostalgic for grandma’s house with the feather bed and the outhouse and all of us braving the stove that ate our eyebrows. Keep it up.
And I don’t know what Frank and Jerry are doing, however, I am curious.
i remember doing huge murals with paula! tell her i say hi ❤ i love you and your freinds matching colored hair! so fun 😁😁 love you

It’s good to see that your lives are enriched by having such good and interesting friends. I loved reading about Jessie – although I didn’t know her, I could see she was much loved. Glad you’re out and about – it’s been a long slog thru this covid thing. Love, Sharon
i just recently started watching breaking bad and i like it so far! that italian dish looks yummy and i noticed a porto’s bag in one of the pictures… i love that place. my fav pastries ever.
Loved hearing about your neighborhood family. The pictures tell a story. Your get together must have been so much fun. Paula’s appetizer looked yummy. I was sorry to hear you lost Jessie. My condolences. Thanks for sharing with us. Glad you are enjoying the porch again. Love, Celia
Hi Jilly
I really liked the sketch that Paula did in Italy of a tower, and Italian inspired appetizer also looks like art to me.
It has been a long time since I setup a bog, but if you get us all together, I would be pleased to try.
It was good seeing all of us out to lunch. What are Frank and Jerry DOING?? Putting wheels on a tool box.
Love to your and Gerry
Love the glimpses of porch time. Hello to all! Envious of Paula’s trip to Italy!
