its been hot the last few days. good days to sit in the air conditioned living room and do puzzles. but my latest puzzle, a gift from tony, may be the toughest one yet.
I started with the eyes

they all look so much alike except the blue ones, i got mind boggled😵💫.
So i decided to start a post on the blog. just a few photos i wanted to share with you.
Some not to recent sunsets

We have a new landmark here in Long Beach. Lincoln park has been downtown since 1880.it was closed in 2016 while a new city center was being built and just reopened this February-with the new landmark- front and center. a giant Lincoln penny. i think its fitting since there has been a statue of Abraham Lincoln residing there since 1915. the mayor thinks the penny will ultimately be a tourist attraction and a selfie spot for sure. what do you think? the grand-prix is this weekend so i guess we will see.

But today, something is brewing in the news.

We also have new library with a new name. I think everyone agrees on this one.

We’ve had some bees. ( A lot of bees) this is by our garage door. there is a hive inside.

This is our fence butting up to our neighbors house. Also a hive inside. I wish i could post the video i took the day they swarmed but i don’t have that option on this version of word press. they were so loud. bbbbbbbzzzzzzzzzz BBBBBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZ bbbbbbbzzzzzzzzzzz BUZZ
beekeepers came last week and removed both hives. the is the sophisticated removal process.

always remember……..

The blog brings me so much joy💗hope it brings you some joy too
i have more pictures – stay tuned
Thanks Jill, love your blogs. Hope the bee guy got all those critters!
Your homespun blogs are even more precious than your road trip ones were! You remind me a little of your hero Garrison Keillor- Lemon Street is the new Lake Woe be gone. I’m not being sarcastic- I really like the subjects you choose to cover and the photos that illustrate your life and feelings.
Great pictures, Jill!
Too bad about Lincoln Park. I can see understand both sides, but history is complicated.
I love cats, but that puzzle is frankly kind of scary..
Rosemary
Wow, you caught beautiful pictures of the sky and I enjoyed looking through your new post, except for the bees!
I laughed with Tony that he chose the hardest one yet for you. It’d drive me insane if I have to put those cats together.
Have fun with the cats!
Loved all the pics, gorgeous sunsets. The heart was for you, I’m sure of it. Sorry about the bees; what a hassle must have been. The cats look like a real challenge.
Was so good to see you guys again, thanks. My best, Celia .
Hi Mom – I didn’t mean to boggle your mind! I just know you like cats and I liked the symmetry of the design. I can’t remember ever doing a puzzle as an adult, so I didn’t really understand the difficulty of it. I h
[my palm clicked the track pad and my cursor happened to be over the Post button!]
I hope you end up enjoying it and not hating it! 🙂
I love those two sunset pictures and the new blog banner (b&w photos of you and dad).
Your bee problem looks like my worst nightmare!
I love you!
I read that Lincoln probably didn’t know the details of the long walk, so we will never know if he was guilty of it. I love the Lincoln penny. I’m so glad you got rid of the bees and were not stung. I would not do that puzzle. It’s cute but oh so difficult. You are better than me. Love you, Jill, Sharon
wow that is a LOT of bees. i would definitely not go anywhere near those things. the sunset pictures reminded me that i need to step outside once in a awhile to watch the sunset. i’ll be doing that this week sometime. :)))
Gotta say, those cat eyes are a little creepy. Looks challenging for sure. Glad the bee situation is improved – quite the operation. Buzzzzzz. Can totally understand why you didn’t ask Tony to help (hee hee). Lovely sunsets – hope it’s not too hot out there this week. We got 12″ of snow yesterday. Expecting more tonight. Happy Spring. 😉
