the weather and my knee have been keeping me a couch potato lately. which is probably making my knee worse. i’ve been to the doctor and he said surgery is inevitable. I tried an anti-inflammatory off and on for a year. then he suggested trying a cortizone shot. ok. now? yes, but first you need a numbing shot, oouuch!!!!!!!!😭. Then he had to extract some fluid, more oouuch!!!!!😩then the cortisone shot, again a oouuch!!!!!!!!!🥺 I’m sure some of you know that pain.
all that and it hasn’t helped. Now I’ll have to just wait until it’s safe to be in a hospital and elective surgery is being done again. i want to ride our trike again. I miss gardening too.
so puzzles are a lifesaver as well as a hobby. and need i say – a likely addiction. i don’t go out much anymore. it’s a covid thing too.
I always start out puzzles by turning over all pieces while i take out border pieces. i do a quick color sorting at the same time in these large, flat, cardboard boxes.

⬇️chocolate! this was definitely a hard one. i wanted to chuck it all a couple of times. i have done that before. some puzzles that i buy at thrift stores aren’t ones i would normally pick out and i end up not liking them. they go back to the thrift store. but i enjoyed the challenge on this one. even though it had a piece missing. do you see it?

this puzzle⬇️had a history lesson about the subjects in it. it was fun to do. very colorful.

⬇️this one was only 300 pieces and very easy. Any puzzle about new york brings back such good memories of our trips there, so i enjoyed this one. a very colorful abstract.

Here’s my next puzzle⬇️i bought it from amazon thanks (frankandlinda). one that i personally picked out from hundreds to choose from. it’s amazing, i guess that’s how they got their name, how any subject you want, they have it. and not just one, many. and sometimes you can get it the next day. if not, in a couple of days. and i didn’t have to go out to a crowded store to get it. thanks amazon.
It depicts my dream kitchen. i love everything in it. i can hear you now ray and i know what you are saying and the words you are using.🙂 i know this is not everyone’s cup of tea. but that’s what makes the world go round. doesn’t it? this would mine.

Can’t wait to do this one. look at all that colorful pyrex🧡💙❤️💛💚I’ll bet all of you have some of these.
hope you all are feeling ok, staying safe, and doing some things you love to do – too.
until next time
💗jilly
I really hate hearing that you’re having, I do that often on myself and hope to never have to have surgery good luck to you. I remember writing a taxi when we were in New York maybe you didn’t go on that trip we went to the big cathedral down in town somewhere and I remember writing it a taxi thinking I’ll exciting it was and wanting to go home. missing seeing you guys hope that we can get together again soon
I still have the pyrex wedding gifts- suppose they are antiques yet? I know I am.
I am sorry about your knee. I have enormous sympathy for people in pain, moreso for people I love. I’ll be happy when the cousins can get back together.
Love all the colorful puzzles you’ve done and love your blogs.
Sending a lot of love and empathy over the knee pain. I’m praying for you. Loved the picture puzzles you chose – and that was a lot of brown! But it makes me want to go back to doing some picture puzzles – I have an enormous assortment of them! We need to keep the brain cells going strong/ LOL – Love you, Sharon
So sorry about your knee, Jill, but it’ll probably be better in the long run to have the surgery.
Your puzzles are beautiful! I think the missing piece was in the row of strawberries. If I tried to do that puzzle, I’d probably just end up gorging myself on chocolate. I’m glad you have the puzzles to keep you busy.
Love, Rosemary
Love the kitchen puzzle – especially the bowls! My dream kitchen would definitely have shelves for lots of bowls!
Oh…and that New York puzzle is beautiful! Love the colors and lines of it.
sorry about the knee 😦 but love the puzzles what fun glad you have a hobby to keep you busy while you wait to get your knee working properly again
That previous anonymous is me 🙂 didn’t log in..
Sorry you have to go through all this pain with your knees, if only cortisone had helped. Hope you don’t have to wait too much longer. Love all the puzzles. They are beautiful and made me smile. Love, Celia
I’m very sorry to hear about your knees. I’ve heard that the recovery is long, but you’ll be very happy to have it done. Maybe you can run a marathon after! I’ve always admired your patience and love for puzzles. The New Zealand North and New York look very difficult to me, the pieces are small and so similar. Enjoy putting your dream kitchen puzzle together!
^^ It’s from Thuy, Love
