we got to teds late afternoon. it’s always nice to visit with ted. but this was going to be a short one. we’re anxious to get home.
we talked and laughed and had a beer before going out for chinese food. there is a nice restaurant near his house that has the best egg foo young, my favorite. when we got back to his house, ted and jerry had a special cognac ted had bought for the occasion and we talked and laughed some more. if you remember bob, he is now in the living room
the next morning we got on highway 80 going through truckee in the sierras. we hit our first rain. and even saw snow on the ground.

we got to jims’s saturday. he made homemade cornnread and chili for dinner.
we went out the next night for mexican food.
we left monday morning planning to eat at the hitching post in casmalia, near santa maria, and we did. we got the ribs. my hands were too greasy to take a picture. we stayed in their parking lot overnight. started for home this morning.
we are just now getting off the freeway and heading to our house.
not much more

What beautiful pictures on your trip homeward. I’m glad you had fun at Ted’s. Egg Foo Young in Nevada, cornbread and chili in California. Worth the trip! Thanks for inviting us on the trip with you.
Oh goodie!
You’re home!
See you tomorrow

Congratulations on a great trip. You accomplished all of the things you set out to do. You saw some really great people that you love and some beautiful (sometimes boring) scenery. You had a lot of delicious meals. And you shared it all with us. Welcome home. It’s nice to know you’re close by.
I’ll bet it is bittersweet to be home. Is Midas being nice or grumpy because you were away? Does home look different since you been gone a month? Glad you’re safely home and so glad you made out to the prairie on this trip. Love you!
Welcome Home….

I wish I could have joined you in Reno, but work is too heavy right now. No buffet this time? It’s good seeing Jim and Jan – they look like they’re in pretty good health.
wow the trees are so pretty!!
Welcome home!
