hi everyone. it’s that time of year again. busy, busy, busy. so many things to do. it’s all pretty enjoyable though. my favorite thing now is the music. singing along with the carols that we have been singing since we were kids. silent night is probably my favorite. can any of you name yours?
opal agrees with me. i love pickles. jerry still reads it to me every morning. he read this one yesterday morning. i started the blog a day before that.

we had trouble taking a picture with our hats this year. we thought we would take it at the senior party, but santa looked pretty bad. i think he’s been sick. we thought we could take it at sharon’s outreach party, but we had to leave before santa was done with the kids. her church goes into poorer neighborhoods with food, presents, and a visit from santa, where every child gets a age appropriate toy. sharon has been taking the pictures of this event and all events at her church (community christian church in baldwin park) for over 15 years. you go girl!

hannah and her boyfriend are staying with us until march, then they move all the way to tacoma, washington for new jobs. we decided to have them join us in the yard and be in the christmas picture . it was a lot of fun but the sun wasn’t cooperating. it took a lot of tries to get one.
we finally got one
we did get one at jerry’s cardiac rehab party friday that would have been great for the card.

here’s a few more pictures i wanted to share.

hannah and tracy both brought me back puzzles from their trip to london. very small and very challenging. especially the one on the bottom. it was made out of wood.

we had very beautiful sunsets after the tragic fires. can you see the heart? jerry says it’s mickey mouse?

tony photobombed a picture i was taking of emily, thuy, and amy. no jerry had nothing to do with it. and emily just celebrated her 15th birthday.

we also got to see sam harris again. he was performing downtown long beach. his front row seats were way cheaper than cher’s.
i think he was looking at me. hi sam. see you again when you’re in town.
i found a picture of the first time we went to new york and saw the statue of liberty

we’re going out to dinner with dick and jessie (from the blog) to trani’s tonight. then stop at chris and jose’s for a little while. maybe watch ‘bad santa’ on netflix when we get home. we’ll go to tony’s tomorrow for the gift giving and dinner made by tony.
hope you all have a “Merry Christmas” and lots of joy throughout 2019.
love, jilly
ps….midas already got his present. a new blankie for the porch. thanks gregg. he loves it.
