the day has come that all trips have. the last day and you have to go home. this was a short one but it was packed with fun. and food.

we ate at pho mai mai twice. thuy’s younger sister and her husband own this very popular restaurant. when we walked in almost everyone had a bowl of their most popular item, pho, on their tables. jerry and i were treated to vietnamese sandwiches – another popular item. it comes with soup. notice something in the bowl. we also got the b-b-q shrimp skewers. my most popular item on the menu.

in the same shopping center is the nail shop thuy’s brother owns. we’ve been going here since they opened. jerry got the deluxe pedicure and i got a simple manicure, pink to match my hair. haha. we were treated to this too.

two wonderful meals at mon ami gabi

we were sitting at the table behind the couple on the left
we had four home cooked meals at the cracker barrel.

which is a hard thing to choose sometimes
these pictures of stuff on the walls at cracker barrel are lousy, but you get my thought at at taking them. everything old is new again.

we played dominos while jerry ate his pecan apple pie. he won.
i think i have a few more picture, so stay tuned.
thanks for coming along with us.
love, jilly
You make the greatest celebrations!!!!! What a joy it is to see it unfold for us in your blogs.
Very fun trip. Thanks for sharing. You’ll have to give me the address to Thuy’s younger sister’s shop, I’d like to go there when I go to LV at Christmas. – PS Good pictures that told your story.
I love pecan pie, you keep this up and i will have to go out to eat tonight just to get some.
I think I gained 10 pounds just reading this blog.Looking forward to seeing you soon.
You guys are quite the gourmets. Everything sounded so good, yum. Now I, too, am craving that decadent pecan apple pie. Great pictures. Wishing you a safe trip home.
