the drive gets boring at times, but there is always something to look at. you’ve seen so many pictures of that drive i have only have a couple to show you.

this poster of a man with a briefcase is on every billboard, fence, abandoned building, anywhere there is a spot. we saw them from barstow to baker. some are going left and some are going right. don’t know what it stands for?
you probably don’t remember a picture i took of a bronco on the back of a truck on our trip to oregon last year. so i’ll remind you.

does thin one look the same?

almost huh? we saw this one at barstow station when we stopped for gas. we would buy one in a heartbeat if they started making them again
we made it yo cracker barrel in time for dinner. we had a delicious grilled chicken sandwich and of course with those delightful pinto beans, just like mom made. i didn’t shop any. i was tired and couldn’t give it my full attention. i knew we would be back for breakfast when i would be wide awake for eggs in a basket. i had to make my own iced coffee ray.

That’s such a long, boring trip – you made it more interesting. Say hi to Cher for me. (LOL)
Interesting images. Wonder what the briefcase man means. Glad you were able to get your tattoos. Enjoy Cher. Happy Anniversary.
Mom and Dad,
I’m so happy that 56 years ago you were both able to say “I Found Someone” and “All I Ever Need is You.” Although we discovered recently that nobody on Dad’s side of the family was a “Half Breed,” I still “Believe” that there was a mysterious, “Dark Lady” in his lineage long ago that contributed to his good looks that brought you two together. After Mom said “Take Me Home” and Dad said “I Got You Babe” you have spent over half a century discovering “The Way of Love” with each other.
I’m glad that Mom was happy to stay at home and that she told you, Dad, that “All I Really Want to Do” is start a family. Not long after that, she was saying “You Better Sit Down Kids” to me and Tracy. Thank you for your dedication and hard work over the years, and for raising us so well that we did not become “Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves!” Now that I am a parent myself, I feel your pain, and I really wish “I Could Turn Back Time” to start over with these teenagers! I know it was difficult for you financially, too. I bet sometimes Dad felt like he wanted to be “Just Like Jesse James.” But I know Mom would have knocked him upside the head – “Bang Bang” – if he would have tried.
I know you’re saying “Baby Don’t Go,” but “After All”, “A Cowboy’s Work is Never Done” and I have some stuff to do before it gets too late. I don’t want to run the risk of hearing “We All Sleep Alone.”
My wish for you is that “The Beat Goes On” for many years to come, and that you continue to grow in “Love and Understanding” together.
Happy Anniversary – I love you!
Way to go Tony!!
Another great year in the books! So beyond thankful for you both – for your generosity, humor, and love of life. I thank my lucky stars you found your way to each other. What a lovely family you’ve made!
On another note – that candy is insane!!
