the machines don’t call us to them anymore. we have not put in one penny yet. it isn’t as much fun anymore. there’s no bells and whistles that go off or money falling in the metal tray making loud noises. people don’t hoot and holler either. a lot of the machines have keyboards. and i haven’t seen one big bertha yet. so not only are we saving money on hotel bills, we are saving money by not giving it to the machines. we are saving a lot of our money on food also.
frank and linda gave us a very generous gift for our anniversary. we’ve eaten at ‘mon ami gabi’ twice and haven’t spent any of our money. they have eaten here, they know how good the food is. they treated us to dinner last year too. wish you could have been here with us. thank you so much.
we take everybody who comes to vegas with us here. ray?
we had a good time at the bar for jerry’s birthday. another generous gift from our friend and ‘go to’ guy gregg, kept me in espresso martini’s . thanks gregg.

the coffee beans stayed like this the whole drink.
we kept waiting and waiting for our pager to go off and it never did. we were having such a good time with the bartender and customers it didn’t seem so bad. the bartender finally asked one of the hosts to check on it. come to find out, our pager was a dud. they called it but it never lit up. so we got special treatment from then on.

our bartender jerry told a lot of jokes
he said he would take a dirty picture of us. that he took the best dirty pictures of anyone. so i gave him the camera and he pointed it at us and then at the people next to us. as we started laughing he pointed it back at us and this is what he got.

we had a caeser salad and skate that night. it is the wing of a bat ray. it tastes like a very delicate mild fish. they tinkered with the recipe and now have went back to the original lemon caper sauce. it is our favorite thing to order. delicious.

not a very good picture but this is what it looks like.
jerry got a free apple tart for his birthday. that’s my favorite desert. of course he shared.

make a wish
sitting on the rail seats you see lots of interesting people on the sidewalks walking by. kind of like new york. my picture of the showgirls didn’t turn out. darn. one had pasties on. i don’t know if you would see that in new york.

and of course these trucks with billboards drive by constantly. after all las vegas is sin city.but then cher comes along and makes it better.

and of course you see those magnificent fountains.

it was a great day and great night. we still have fun here. it is what it is and you have to roll with it. there is good and bad in every situation. look for the good and find joy.
we went to some of our favorite thrift stores yesterday. we also went to the pawn stars pawn shop. jerry brought some of his mickey mouse watches but they weren’t worth anything. we ate at ‘mon ami gabi again’ last night. we didn’t have to wait as long for a patio seat this time. we like the caeser salad so much we had that again. with the steak classique and frites this time, another favorite. then creme brulee for dessert. it doesn’t get much better than that.
except maybe to see such a spectacular desert sunset from the coach window.

stay tuned for…………….?
love, jilly
