on the subway

on the way to the ferry. we ate up there?

at the statue of liberty

ray ringing the bell of hope at st. pauls chapel

we had the best waiter at the hotel

going to comic con

we had fun playing who could pick the right elevator coming up

and still playing the kissing game
i want to thank kara for our emergency fund. every trip she slips us an envelope with emergency money, or, it can be used for fun. we had no emergency this trip kara, but boy did we have fun.

thanks to all of you who left comments. it makes my day to hear someone likes the pictures.
we still have four days on the train, so stay tuned
jilly

Great wrapup, Jilly. No Paint Nite pics? This trip would not have been so much fun without you- and your blog! I envy your talent for storytelling so deliciously.
i can’t imaging being here without you and ray. and what a joy to have karl and sandy to add to the fun and show us new york.
i still have more of new york to add to the blog,
Loved all of these tidbits. What a wonderful time you had in the Big Apple, and thanks for sharing. Guess this is “All aboard” today.
Love the picture of you and Dad in the subway! I doubt the Comic Con girl stands out in New York – another day, another subway rat.
Loved these pictures – shows your joy and I loved to see your wonderful, smiling faces enjoying it all.
Dear Wayfarers:Finally had time to open my computer and check you your trip just this morning! Sounds as though you managed to hit just about everything of interest in New York City except maybe the zoo. But there are enough “animals” here in Long Beach that you don’t need to go all that way to see them! We’re all glad to know you are on your way home by now. We look forward to the Oral Versions of the stories when you get here.Love, Kara
So glad you all had fun. Hope the train ride is smooth sailing.
