there are seven buildings in different stages of construction that we can see from our 35th floor of the doubletree.

the four tallest ones

and these two tall ones

and this one on the left

we’ve been watching them build the water tower on this one. it’s a source of water for the floors above the 7th. the city will only pump water that high. water towers are everywhere in the city. this is another interesting story to google. after watching a few you tube videos we no longer drink the water. i’m sure hotels take care of their water towers though.

i love the position of the flag in this picture

wa la

i think there will be another skysrcaper here soon.
i have a few more pictures for only in new york
stay tuned
These are fantastic pictures! No wonder you are the blog queen! I have been watching this happen and never thought to take pictures of the action out my window. I can’t get over how ‘casual’ those men are hundreds of feet in the air just working like it was on the ground. Also, the coordination of moves is like some bizarre ballet. And now we know what those strange triangles are hanging from the sides of the buildings at last!
Wow! There are so many buildings in construction! So many people in New York means lots of new houses and buildings! I like the position of the flag too. It looks crisscross and folded. I love you!

Wow, what views you captured from 35 stories above NYC, and showed us the city renewing itself. Didn’t know these giants needed water towers; and I agree the workman looked very precarious up there. You got some great pictures.
I watched a video about the dirt and bacteria in New York water tanks. It’s really disgusting, and quite remarkable that such an antiquated and unsanitary practice is allowed in a sophisticated place like New York. Please don’t drink any tap water!!
wow. lots and lots of buildings! it looks kind of scary 35 floors up! 😱
Cool picture of the water towers. May not be terribly sanitary, but I think it’s kind of nostalgic looking. Amazing that they can fit so many giant buildings on such a small island!
Yeah! In murder mystery programs, Those water towers are where they hide the bodies. kn
