okay, i hate to complain but now it’s cold. we actually used the heater a little bit. we have a nice campground in pacifica. it’s 10 miles from san franscisco. we have a great view from our site, but, part of the cliff fell into the ocean seven years ago. they lost some spaces and had to put up fences. so our view is obstructed. but we love our spot. they have the best showers so far. except walking back from them.

we decided to have lunch at the cliff house, our favorite place to eat. it’s got a long history in san francisco.
my eyes spotted this on the menu and had to try it. it was the best one i’ve ever had. the fish and chips were a little disappointing this time. but the popovers were great. when is the last time you had popovers?

after lunch we drove to pier 33 to check out the parking for our alcatraz tour thursday. we found 3 lots that can handle us. jerry feels better now. parking can be a big problem with the coach.

Once again your mixture of nature and informative shots are captivating- and the first portrait of you two and the winsock is a corker. Jerry has such a look on his face! I’ve heard of the Cliff House but never got the chance to eat there. What is with the ‘giant camera’ building and environs- love the perspective- is it at Alcatraz?

Yes, San Francisco looks cold & windy. Love the shot with the windsock. Too bad about the cliff erosion. What purpose the giant camera building? Intriguing, and the ocean view beautiful there. So glad you got to go to the Cliff House. I still remember you talking about how wonderful it is in years past, and I know how much you love dining there, and glad you took a picture of it for us. Nice item on the menu, the Long Island ice tea. Just what years were those old menus from? What prices. I would have loved the popovers, too. If I try, I can still remember the enticing aroma when Mom baked popovers in Channel Heights; do you remember that? Hope you find your minds you left in San Francisco earlier on your trip. Great you found the Birthday Barbie on this trip at the Goodwill, and appropriate the box said, “for a special Birthday girl.” Enjoy. Love, Sis
It’s been hot here – over 100 degrees. Friday it will be 114 in the valleys. So your pictures look so refreshingly cool. Love all the pix as mentioned above, but also love the silhouette picture of you two at the restaurant. What a wonderful view to have while having a good meal. LvU
