i read this was used in the movie ‘stand by me’. i don’t remember it, do you? they also used parts of the town.

i took way too many pictures and then couldn’t decide which ones not to use. so here is some of them. we don’t see covered bridges too often.

we got back on the road and ran into a lot of smoke from the fires.
stay tuned
Not too many covered bridge pictures for me. Love them. Brought me back to my trip years ago to Oregon when I visited a dozen or so covered bridges, but never saw the Weddle Bridge, so beautiful. They still fascinate me. Now I want to go back again. I saw “Stand by Me,” but just remember it was shot in a small town. Hope the fires don’t impede your travels. God speed.
We had to have a white suv towed. It probably is one of Alex/ but it was blocking Bob’s driveway to where he couldn’t get out to work. The car had been sitting there for six days with no parking ticket for the street sweeper, thwn moved across the street to Bob’s. Dotta keep our streets clear so Cecil can see the cats. Speaking of that, we have coyotes in the neighbor hood again. They got Sascha this time, the beautiful gray Persion that walked with the two dogs and Caryn or Teri from Lewis Street. She didn’t come home for dinner one evening. When Caryn went looking, she was found in one of the neighbor’s yards. Norm is walking farther each day, for some good news. Haven’t seen Frank and Linda out at all since you’ve been gone. Their car is there, but I guess I just miss them each day. Jessie is going to be invaded by her grad daughter again this week. Her daughter and son in law were here last week from Alaska. She’s still having trouble with the plumbing over at the office building. We tell each other our troubles almost nightly any more and giggle about how bad we have it. I went out to Ontario again yesterday after having been there most of Tuesday. It seems my Uncle has now evolved into untreatable bladder cancer. He went home from the hospital late Tuesday evening. He asked me to sign on his checking account but wasn’t strong enough to go to the bank yesterday. I have to go out again next Tuesday. Somjewhat complicated situation there. I’ll fill you in when you get home. This morning Is the badge pinning ceremony so I have to walk the dogs for my cardiologist before I shower and put on my REAL uniform. Glad you are having a good time. Love, Kara, Cecil and Bella
Cool bridge! (I do love bridges) I don’t remember it from the movie, though.
You sent this blog on 8-23 and I received it just now on 8-28. I wonder what’s happening. I may have missed other blogs and don’t know about it. I too love the covered bridges.
The bridge pictures are wonderful, AND I love that you include signage
