we left newport and headed towards corvalis. it’s a typical college town, kind of cute. this is where jessica is going to college. she’s in portland right now on an intership with boeing. so we didn’t get to see her. tracy suggested we go in a shop she likes. a free trade store with goods from all over the world. i bought some greeting cards.

many hands trading co

i liked the logo on this bar in corvalis
we got on the road again looking for a campground for the night. there are a lot of full campgrounds.

i noticed the redwoods trees have changed to douglas fir trees. my favorite christmas tree. did i say christmas trees?

are you seeing these martha and ray? they are all over the place here. we haven’t tried it. oh, and thank you for the guacamole you sent with us martha. it’s so good.

the smoke from the fire up here shouldn’t be a problem for the eclipse for us.

i have some room on this post to put these pictures in, we saw this in bandon

recycle, recycle, recycle
we did find a really good campground.
stay tuned
Henry the fish is so cute and really shows the problem of careless littering well. Corvalis looks like a peaceful place. I’ll bet you’re getting really excited about seeing the eclipse in 3 days!
The Douglas firs are so green and beautiful. All that rain makes for stunning scenery. Corvalis looks like a good place for college. Dutch Bros. reminds me of Solvang. I hope Henry the fish is seen by many, enlightenment through art. You find the most interesting things.
Jealous that you got to go to Many Hands Trading – love that place! Jessica likes Dutch Bros – they make a lot of sweet iced things. Hope the traffic isn’t getting too bad. Marilet shared a story on FB about 30 mile back ups on Friday!
I LOVE Dutch Bros. They make an Eggnog Latte that is so ridiculously good. Javier and I really liked Corvallis when we were there. It was nice walking down by the river. The campus is gorgeous there too.
