ITEM OF INTEREST: According to this morning’s L A Times newspaper, “In 1918, the last time a total solar exlipse swept across the U S there were about 6.3 million cars registered nationwide. Today there are 263 million. ” “In Oregon, the eclipse first comes into view at 9:04 a.m. – with the full eclipse occurring at 10:16 a.m. near the coastal town of Depoe Bay. . . . .Locals are expecting up to 100,000 visitors.” You couple probably make back the cost of your trip charging $1 each for use of your sanitation device!
