if you saw the last blog from las vegas, you might remember this picture.

i forgot to follow up and find about them. well, we found out about them at the nevada museum. we saw the sign while driving to las vegas but but couldn’t figure out were the seven ‘magic’ moutains were. we were looking for seven real mountains.

the papers in the middle are all the permits he had to get.
so now we know what they are doing out there. i’m sure you can find out more now if you want too. it’s a very interesting story how he got them there.
this was a draft i started and forgot to post it.
i have something to add to it now. we stopped at the seven magic mountains on the way home. you can walk right up to them. from the highway they look like they are in a straight line but they’re not.

this one was my favorite
driving home, we wondered who was in this trio of cars. they stayed together for as long as we could see them.

and these things are still incredible looking to me. the ground is covered with some kind of stuff too.

so that’s it for now. we’re not sure when our next trip will be. we want to go to north dakota to see tracy, but not sure when that might be.
we’ll be celebrating our 54th anniversary and jerry’s 73rd birthday in bulleton at the ‘hitching post’ for a few days. no blog posts this time.
but stay tuned ’til the next adventure………………
love, jerryandjilly

Thanks for unraveling the mystery. Sometimes I don’t get it like everyone else seems to. But the boulders are brightly colored and something to talk about. I wonder who is behind those tinted windows of vehicles like that too. Look forward to your next trip. Have a marvelous 54th and 73rd. Love you guys.
That was the FBI in the vans- we just finished binge watching Quantico and it looks like a scene from the show- maybe they just wanted to look official- maybe it was a mob caravan… They were plotting to steal the mountains. Mystery solved!
Happy 54th you youngsters. We wish you another 54 years of traveling, blogging and investigating marvels. Hug Elvis for us.
Those colored rocks look like gigantic aquarium gravel!! So, in proportion, that makes you guys …..fish food??
Those rocks were in the art magazine I subscribe to, I thought of our Vegas trip! That’s cool that they are included in the museum!
