it always comes down to having to say good-bye. knowing we’ll be back makes it a little easier. and having one last cup of coffee and the homage starts the day off right.

we did our now ritual status, picking of the fortune sticks. ted’s is on top. mine in the middle and jerry’s on the bottom. i think they ring true.

one last picture and we’re off.

on the way out of ted’s neighborhood i noticed this tree. have you noticed the heart ted?

our plans for today are going to a animal sanctuary twenty miles notth of reno. the animal ark is a huge place that takes in rescued wild animals which will probably never be able to be released. their injuries left them unable to cope in the wild. at each enclosure, the srory how they ended up at the santuary is explained.

they even rescue turtles.

there were way to many animals to put in the blog. this was just a sampling.
it’s a wonderful place and we left there being inspired that there are still dedicated people in the world, doing great things for the creatures that otherwise would be dead.
now we are off to lake tahoe
stay tuned
So glad to be able to see cousin Ted through these posts. We have missed him through the years. Love the fact that people are taking care of animals like at the animal sanctuary.
It must be sad leaving Ted behind.but it’s so nice for us to see him again through the lens of your camera. The sanctuary is amazing. What a stroll through nature’s wild creatures not generally seen so close and personal. Travel with light hearts.
The tree with a heart a fitting last view on your visit with Ted. Thanks for sharing the wild animal sanctuary. Love, Celia
