well i didn’t find anything for you guys, but i found a lot of stuff for myself. jerry found these in the collector corner of the salvation army. they are two of the characters from beatrice potter’s ‘peter rabbit’. a really rare find. and it made it me as happy as if he had found me a pair of diamond earings for six dollars. oh, did i say everything was half price columbus day?

ted was so gracious to spend four hours taking us around to trhift stores and giving me time in each one of them. ” thanks ted” jerry is as patient with me too. “thanks jerry”
there were clouds forming when we got in the car. it’s going to get cold here now.

we all needed to eat after that. ted offered to use his comps for the pizza restaurant in the atlantis, so that’s where we went. we stopped by the sportsbook first to watch the horses run for awhile. no wins this time either.
there was a total wine store near the goodwill. tony had given me a gift card for my birthday. we needed some beer and i had it with me so we went in. they have shiner beer here and a few others long beach doesn’t have i got ted a bottle of wine also. i didn’t keep track of how much we were spending. just buying what we wanted. you’re never going to belive this next picture tony.

we went back to teds and hung out. ted is still working on his collage. he has cut out all the fish he needs, so now he can start putting it together. i can’t wait to see the finished piece. how about you guys?

some of the pieces are very intricate
i brought ted a rock for his collection. it was a rock we had tumbled a long time ago. it almost looks like jasper. i put it in it’s new home. second from top left. he’s getting one for christmas for that empty spot.
ted and jerry have the ritual of having a glass of cognac on the last night we are there.

cheers!
we went out to the coach to get in bed and saw this amazing cloud. the moon is behind it.

we played a game of dominoes. i won and we went to bed.
we have to leave in the morning
stay tuned
What a wonderful post. Loved it all. I have rocks that my granddaughter Sarah – no now Cerra – and I collected when she visited me 20 years ago. Thanks for letting us be a part of everything. I hope we can see Ted’s collage when it is completed. Love you.
Viva la thriftshops! Great pictures this post. It’s always nice to hear about Ted and his art. Really loved the irony of the receipt! You have the art of shopping in your blood. Travel safe. You are my adventure lifeline!
What a find the Peter Rabbit characters; they must have been destined for you to find them. Love that you shared Ted’s amazing art in progress. The image of the cloud so striking. Thanks, Love, Celia
I have fond memories of dominoes in the coach. That cloud is just gorgeous!!
