I don’t know how many missions we have see now, but I never lose interest in them.
it’s always an experience to stroll through the historical buildings and grounds.
here are a few, (a lot), of my favorite pictures.
I guess you know who this is by now.
this is where the Indians washed there clothes.
two of the last residents of the mission. she probably did her wash here.
the sacred garden
the church is still used.
we don’t always get a good picture on the first try.
today we go to the ranch.
stay tuned.

Once again great pictures- the last one might be my favorite! I like the pictures of historical facts and people you always remember to put in the blog. The cemeteries are always so peaceful and poignant. Glad I have a washing machine.
How come you let all the noses get by without sticking your fingers in them?
One of my favorite missions, so beautiful. I enjoyed these a lot, and took me back to travels past. I, too, am an armchair traveler now. Keep enjoying.
So you know, I am Anonymous @ 12:08 and 12:16 pm. Don’t know why my name missing, sorry. Your Sis, Celia.
Looks like you had good weather, too! I like the self-timer pics best – love to see the scenic stuff, but I especially like seeing your faces. Looks like Dad has a stick growing out of his head! Love you!
Love the history. I, too, am glad for modern conveniences. On the one pix there is a cross growing out of Jerry’s head. With a self-timer it’s impossible to know what will show up behind you. Looks like there weren’t too many people there that day – makes it easier.
Last year, my class learned ALL about the missions and the sparrow nesting! Those roses are amazing!! 🙂 Hope you guys are having the time of your lives!
