we never take this road anymore. but i’m glad we did on this beautiful day. we stopped a lot and just enjoyed the views.
how would you like to live in this house?
with this view.
the landscape is still so green.
the lesser known rocky creek bridge
the better known Bixby bridge.
a view from the south.
we stopped at nepenthe restuarant for lunch. we have eaten here several times and always enjoy the specialness of it.
there’s something new on the road. looks like it can catch a rockslide on it’s roof.
we stopped to enjoy the sunset.
and then traveled on to our campground in san simeon.
and then another beautiful day.
am I using the word beautiful too much?
stay tuned for more beautiful.

I know i would like this trip. Keep the images coming I love seeing them.
You give us sweet memories and big smiles!
Wow. You guys know where to chase rainbows and unicorns. Love the prairie dog- was he real?
it was a very nice trip ray. why don’t you and Martha retire and join us.
thanks anonymous. that makes me happy.
yes it was real. whether it was a prairie dog I don’t know. we never saw it’s tail.
Love the bridges!
I like the house to live in but it would need to be close to a supermarket, shopping mall and church.
we didn’t always have the time to take pictures. and having people to show them too makes it even more fun to take them.
that’s my thinking too. but I would need a restaurant there too. probably a doctor nearby. plus if your friends traveled that road to get to you, they would never want to leave.
The road not taken – so many wonderful places to see, Love all the seascapes. I still remember the gorgeous drive along the coast and lunch at Nepenthe, the breathtaking views with cliffs of varying shades above the immaculate sands. A feeling of peace there. Happy you took that road. It took me back. Thanks.
Wow, who knew that bridges could be so gorgeous.
