we made one stop before we got to the point. at this stop you see the back of half dome. it is an incredible sight. the whole place is incredible. for you that have been here, I hope these pictures bring back some good memories.

after spending a great day at glacier point, we ate a late lunch in the coach and then headed toward wawona. they have a nice hotel there too.
but we decided to stay in the campground here instead of driving back to north pines campground. it was right on the south fork of the merced river.

it was so beautiful here. we have the merced in our campground too, but we aren’t camped by it. that might be good since there were bugs here.
the next day we go to the mariposa grove of giant sequoias.

Glad you made the trip to Glacier Point; yes I agree, well worth the drive. Even though has been a long time since I visited, I still remember the breathtaking views. Makes me want to go back. I will never forget all the wonders in Yosemite. Thanks again for your blog, Jill.
