we drove through the whole park. it’s only about 25 miles long, but very curvy. a lot of switch backs. very close to the edge of steep canyons.
there are a lot of points of interest to stop at along the road. we stopped at most of them. this park is suited to hikers. you have to hike back in to see a lot of the prettiest things. but everything we saw from the car was beautiful.
I have one more then and now picture for you. I loved this picture in the snow. and I happened to notice it again this time and made jerry turn around so I could take a picture.
i’m so thankful for all the wonderful things jerry and I get to see, all over the united states. and we’ve seen all 50 states now and 48 of their capitols. and every one of them has beautiful and historic places to see. I can’t wait to see more.
stay tuned

You make such a heartwarming case for travel and share it so graciously. I admire your romance with travels and each other and especially delighted with your courage to learn to not only blog, but do it with wit and ingenuity. Samuel Pepys has nothing on you!
Interesting pictures in the snow and then in the sunshine. You do get to see a lot of wonderful things in our great country and I’m glad you share them with us. Lv U Sharon.
Jill, I really enjoy all your comparison photos, especially the last one of the old shack. I guess we’ll see you soon. Paula
Fifty states and 48 capitals, wow. Good thing Jerry doubled back, as that shack is pretty close to being firewood.
I can practically smell the fresh air. Is it hot? I’ll bet the air is dry, huh? Glad you got to explore this time!
Samuel pepys better watch out, whoever he is.
glad you are still enjoying them. have you seen someplace you want to go?
yes, paula we will be home soon. looking forward to seeing everyone, but as always, sad it has to end. (sorry, but I think I miss midas the most).
they built a hotel next door to the shack, so it’s days are numbered.
it is hot during the day, but so pleasant at night. the air is very different from home. ted says that’s one thing he loves here.
