this time the ooops didn’t publish. I looked at all my wonderful comments and wondered why nobody commented on the zoo. there and behold it was still a draft. so i’ll publish this and if you want to see that you’ll have to check it out.
we had a great day. I found lots of treasures. while I was shopping jerry went out to the coach and made reservations at the Oregon garden to stay in the honeymoon suite that night. what a surprise. we stayed here in 2010 and I loved it. we had a nice dinner included in the room package. we are having breakfast now. wifi didn’t work in the room, so I brought sam, the computer, with us.
I have to tell you I loved all the comments. I laughed out loud at the comments from tony and chris. you made my day, thank you. I love it when all of you take the time to let me know what you think and when you see something you didn’t know existed. it makes the trips so special. and I know every post won’t be for everyone. boring to tony is exciting to Martha. boring to Martha is exciting to ray, so on and so forth.
so make my day and……
stay tuned
and read on
it looks like I put a post in the page section. so if you want to see the funny zoo pictures you will have to look at the top or right side of the home page to see the pages tab. sorry about that. I thought the setup looked different and thought wordpress had changed again. I couldn’t figure out how to get the page to go to a post.
I just got through eating bacon and eggs for breakfast. now, jerry is going to do the laundry, do the dishes, clean the coach, change the sheets, and make me another cup of coffee………..not.
we’re on our way to that goodwill outlet.
love you all
stay tuned

It’s still very, very warm–I would spell it “HOT!” – here. And humid. The humidity is still sitting at 85%, more some days. And I’m too busy–too many thoughts about how to sell the Inn with my advertising squibs; too busy thinking about how I can be elected as President of the Rep club when the chairman of the nominating committee hates me and has nominated someone else who hasn’t even been in the club for a full year and is a real DITZ!–okay, I’ll run from the floor– like I need another job right now! Martine asked me to go with her and several other gals to the Hollywood Bowl tonight. We are going to take our own lunches–I’ll pick up a sandwich from Subway and sneak in a small bottle of wine.
Cecil is just lounging around in the heat. He never has summered very well. Bella/Bonita pretends to be sleeping, but when I move about the house, she’s right there behind me. They’re going to the vets again tomorrow and Tuesday while I go up to the desert–it’s only 25% humidity there. And the temp has come down to 99F. It’s definite now–we’re going into Chapter 11; we’ve hired the lawyer and everything. All that is left is to finish finding as many other people to blame and to take off. The case against us will be heard (if need be) Nov 6 and 11 in San Bernardino–I think I told you that. When we file the Chap11 it will be before that. In the meantime, last week I hand addressed 67 letters to golf courses in southern CA, folded the letters and brochures, stuffed and licked and stamped and mailed them all. The week before I did the same with 27 local Mohave River Valley clubs. Tomorrow I’ll start on the guests that have stayed at the Inn during the last year and invite them back.
I had a nice call from Evalynne last night. Craig was off to one of his conferences so we had a nice talk for about 45 minutes. She says to say hi and drive safely.
Oh, speaking of wine, I found the cutest gift for your porch at one of the fundraisers recently. I can hardly wait till you get home. Love, Kara
so good to hear all the news. did you ever ask Hannah or tracy about ideas for marketing? it sounds like you’re doing the right things though.
have you ever asked chris and jose about watching the dogs? chris is home a lot now. his business is doing well.
we are going to have a lot to talk about on the porch. we sure do miss that part of our lives. all our neighbors are so nice. I hope you’re feeling better Jessie.
can’t wait to see what we have waiting for us. and thank you again kara for the envelope. you were very generous. love, jill
