omg. I love this mans work. i’m sorry, just to warn you, I may put in too many pictures here. I’ll keep the words to a minimum. you can’t really describe them anyway.
in the gift shop you can buy his pieces.
it was a wonderful day. we had the most delicious crab cakes and lime coleslaw in the café. chihuly displays all his collections under glass in the center of the tables and on the walls. jerry has the green reel on the left.
and on the ceiling
the gardens are in the shadow of the space needle. we didn’t go up this time. been there done that.
stay tuned for portland

That’s the same guy that did the ceiling in the Bellagio, right? Is he still alive and working? I like the collection displays, too. Must be pretty cool in person. Thanks for sharing!!
yes it is. and yes he is. it is so cool. so cool. the colors are gorgeous in person.
Amazing pictures – love the colors. He is a genius. – Sharon
What I love about his work is the sense of abandon and control along with the over the spectrum colors. He would have flunked art school today! Everything is so popped up joyful and playful even in somber spaces. Thanks for all the shots.
your welcome sharon. I absolutely love taking pictures of his work.
from one artist to another. i’m glad I could share it with you Martha.
Have seen Chuhuly’s story on PBS, but your shots bring his work to life. Loved the garden pieces, especially the blue glass sculptures, and his collection of old timey radios. Thank you for taking the time to capture all the beauty.
we have seen that also. want to record it next time. thanks for the compliment celia.
