we could see the town across the water. the contrast of houses was interesting.
salmon season opened august 1rst. jerry watched as the people got their spots ready on the banks of the river.
we went into town as we were leaving the next day
so stay tuned

Hi Jill,
this is the best trip so far. i thank you again, love looking at it and keep them coming.
Ray
thank you ray. that means a lot to know you’re enjoying the blog. what’s your nickname going to be to that new grandbaby?
you have created a fascinating photo-documentary of Lillooet and salmon fishers. Got a big kick out of the portapotties!
thanks Martha, Lillooet was a strange little town. we talked to several natives trying to find smoked salmon. we found out they are not supposed to sell what they catch. they can share with the elders. the fish and game native we talked to on the bridge said you can usually barter for the fish with something they need.
Lillooet very interesting. Now I am craving some smoked salmon. Miss you. Celia
we have been getting the best smoked salmon. miss you too.
