we had planned to go to the botanical gardens yesterday, but rain prevented that. we had planned to go in the kilauea lighthouse but rain prevented that also. it rained off and on all day. (I guess that’s why the island is so green). anyway, we ended up leisurely driving around the island enjoying the breaks in the rain. we started out having lunch at puka dog. a fast food place that our dentist recommended. yumm. mango relish tony.
then it was spouting horn.
so that ended picture taking for the day. I got soaked taking these. but I did take one more from the car. it was an unusual palm in someone’s yard.

All marvelous shots – but the palms take the cake-
Hawaii must be breathtaking in person.

Hay is looks like a good place to hunt chickens, We will never run out of food.
feels like you are a little more remote and I always like that better than cities.
I can see all the cities right here at home that I ever want to see.
